Boston waterfront penthouse sells for $4.5 million
A 16th floor penthouse in the northeast corner of 10 Rowes Wharf on the waterfront was among March’s spectacular sales in the city.
The three-bedroom residence with 2,719 square feet of living space sold for its asking price of $4.5 million.
This sale is testament to the strength of the housing market in the heart of Downtown Boston, especially in a full-service building. Price per square foot was a remarkable $1,655.
Jeffrey Goldman of Otis & Ahearn Real Estate was the listing broker; Carmela Laurella of CL Waterfront Properties was the selling broker.
A marble foyer leads into a grand carpeted living/dining room with abundant windows that offer mesmerizing views of the harbor and the city, including the Custom House Tower and the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
The centerpiece in the living room is a freestanding wall that contains a wood-burning fireplace. On the other side is a large formal dining area with oversized windows.
The eat-in kitchen boasts abundant cabinetry, high-end appliances and polished black granite counters. There is a breakfast island as well.
The master bedroom suite with a walk-in closet is roomy and its en suite bath includes a long marble-topped vanity, two sinks, a separate marble-tiled shower and a Jacuzzi.
A guest bedroom is carpeted and offers sweeping views across the Inner Harbor.
Two other bedrooms have their own baths as well, and one bath is en suite. A study area with shelves has been built in one of the bedrooms, which has city views. The other bedroom has views of the water.
Other amenities include an in-unit laundry, central air conditioning and all the benefits of being part of the Boston Harbor Hotel complex, including an exercise room, a swimming pool and valet parking to the two deeded parking spaces in the garage.
