Fenway Views condos are all unique
Three newly renovated condominiums have recently become available in the bustling Fenway neighborhood. They are located in the building at 108 Peterborough St. known as Fenway Views Condominiums, part of a long range project of the Fenway Community Development Corporation.
Lawrence Fisch, president of Boston’s Preferred Properties, has marketed this property since its debut. He knows the building inside out, so, for instance, he was quick to answer an observation of how quiet the units and hallways are despite the size of the building with the fact that the walls and ceilings contain concrete panels that contribute substantially to the soundproofing of the units.
The residents of this attractive building - some rental occupants, some owner occupants - benefit immeasurably from the design expertise of Fenway-based architects Domenech, Hicks & Krockmalnic. Most certainly, the three new units offered by Fisch are attractively priced and ideally located.
Unit 4G has a sunny fourth-floor location. The entry hall has a good-sized coat closet and nicely separates the sleeping from the living areas. The kitchen, just off the entry hall, is fully equipped with handsome wood cabinets, recessed ceiling lighting and speckled granite counters.
New stainless steel Amana appliances include refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. The large open living area feels spacious with two walls of windows and beautiful bamboo flooring.
There is enough room here for a small dining area, especially convenient with the pass-through to the kitchen, which also has the capacity to be set up as an eating counter or a bar.
Back through the hallway into the more private living spaces, there is the bathroom with a combination tub and shower and ceramic tile flooring, and the two bedrooms, which share a wall. Each bedroom is newly carpeted and has good closet space.
In Unit 6F, the two bedrooms are separated by the living space, once again an open space design with enough room for a small dining area.
The entry, which opens immediately into the unit, has its own ceramic tile floor and closet, and the bamboo flooring of the living/dining area neatly separate the two areas visually.
The kitchen has white General Electric appliances, blonde wood-paneled cabinetry and Formica countertops. Its ceramic tile flooring echoes that of the entryway.
There is plenty of closet space in this unit with two closets in the large master bedroom - one a walk-in, a closet in the hall across from the bathroom and one in the living area.
The bathroom has a combination tub and shower, a vanity and cabinet and ceramic tile flooring.
The unit on 55 Kilmarnock St. has its own private entrance. A few steps down from street level and you are into another distinctive open living space, this time with dramatic track lighting at the ceiling.
The compact kitchen is attractive and workable with bright contemporary light fixtures placed between the ceiling beams, along with all new appliances, blonde wood cabinets and granite countertops.
Once again, beautifully finished bamboo flooring is found in the living/dining room area, ceramic tile in all utilitarian spaces and carpeting to make the bedrooms cozy.
A quiet and more private space is found up the stairs on the second level where each of the two bedrooms has a built-in window seat the length of the window wall and a closet. A full bathroom is also on this level.
The building has gas forced hot air heat, and each unit has its own controls. Owners pay for electricity, while the monthly condo fee covers hot water and heat.
Certainly, these three condominiums give prospective buyers a nice variety of floor plans from which to choose, as is true, apparently, of all the other living spaces in the building.
As Fisch says, “Nothing cookie cutter about them!” Each has a distinctive floor plan and living possibilities. The exciting, vibrant location boasts all the best of urban living in a special area of Boston, Fenway.
