Several condos with approximately 1,000 square feet of living space were sold in March, but the number of bedrooms and baths varied, as did their location and price. Boston Homes took a quick look at a few of them.
A Charlestown condo at 85 High St. offered two bedrooms, two baths, a living room fireplace and a deck. It sold for $465,000.
High atop Sumner Hill in Jamaica Plain overlooking Stony Brook Valley is the Sumner Hill Condominiums. The building was the Jamaica Plain High School before it was declared surplus 31 years ago. Today it has 75 mixed-income units.
At Parris Landing in the Charlestown Navy Yard, listed has having one-plus bedrooms and two baths and 1,002 square feet of space sold for $478,000. Flagship Wharf, also in the Navy Yard, had a 1,007-square-foot condo with one bedroom and one-and-a-half baths that sold for $510,000. Amenities included a concierge and valet parking.
Three condos with close to 1,000 square feet of space were sold in the South End. The fifth-floor penthouse at 1 St. George St. with two bedrooms, two baths and a deck sold for $584,000, and nearby, a 979-square-foot condo at the Penmark on Father Gilday Street sold for $617,000. It has one-plus bedrooms and one-and-a-half baths, plus a deck. Both have deeded parking.
Gateway Terrace, a 91-unit complex at 35 Fay St., had a sale of a one-bedroom, one-bath condo with 1,004 square feet. Its price was $505,000.
In Jamaica Plain, three condos were sold in March at the Sumner Hill Condominiums at 76 Elm St. The former high school had been converted to apartments 25 years ago and two years ago were modernized and sold as mixed-income units.
The market-rate condo, which is slightly larger at 1210 square feet, sold for $427,500. A moderate-income unit with 905 square feet of space sold for $198,000, and a low-income home with 1,005 square feet sold for $165,000. All three have two bedrooms and a bath.
