Ritz condos in Boston are among spectacular sales
Three spectacular Midtown condominiums at the Residences at the Ritz, Boston Common, were sold in December for more than $1 million, and another one in that complex, a stunning three-bedroom home, was sold in January for $2.95 million.
In addition, a smaller condominium at in the south tower of the Ritz was sold for $625,000 during that time.
Unit 27C in Ritz Tower II
These luxury condominiums, which have access to all the amenities of the five-star Ritz-Carlton Hotel and valet parking, commanded healthy per-square-foot prices as well.
Three of the units were in the north tower at 1 Avery St.; the other two were across the street in the south tower at 2 Avery St.
Built in 2000-2001, these homes feature Brazilian cherry floors laid in a herringbone pattern, a signature of developments by Millennium Partners-Boston.
Unit 22A in Ritz Tower I
High-end appliances with granite counters and Poggenpohl cabinetry are standard features in the gourmet kitchens, although the layouts may be different.
Each of the homes offers fabulous views, whether they are of the Boston Common and Charles River or the Boston Harbor Islands and the Back Bay or of the Downtown skyscrapers.
Susan Cohen of Campion and Company Real Estate was the listing broker for the most expensive condo – Unit 27C in Ritz Tower II – and Hugh Geiger of First Boston Realty International was the selling broker.
The three-bedroom, 2,707-square-foot condo with a wraparound living room was sold Jan. 27 for $2.95 million or $1,090 per square foot.
The 2,242-square-foot corner Unit 32A – with two-plus bedrooms in the north tower sold for $2.325 million or $1,037 per square foot Dec. 28.
Unit 21C Ritz Tower I
Kathleen Cook of Atlantic Associates was the listing broker, and Andrew Friedland of the Back Bay office of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty was the selling broker.
Unit 22A in Ritz Tower I, which has three bedrooms, sold Dec. 29 for $2.1 million or $937 per square foot. Jennifer Athas of Campion and Company was the listing broker and Jamie Genser of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Brookline was the selling broker.
Jeff Goldman of Otis & Ahearn Real Estate’s waterfront office was the listing broker for Unit 21C at 1 Avery St., a two-bedroom corner residence with surround sound.
It sold Dec. 1 for $1.38 million or $918 per square foot. Bradford Rowell of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage on Beacon Hill was the selling broker.
Condominiums in high-rise, full-service buildings like the Residences at the Ritz, Boston Common, are in demand.
At 2 Avery St. Unit 18F, a one-bedroom 717-square-foot condo, sold for $625,000 Dec. 28. Myrna Rothman of the Back Bay office of Otis & Ahearn was the listing broker, and her colleague in the waterfront office, Elaine Dolley, was the selling broker.
